Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

I know that this year has been one bizarre, saddening, confusing, stressful and frightening event. It has been more intense than any haunted house, scarier than any Freddy or Jason could ever be... it has been unprecedented. The world's crises are shadows following us around, their darkness often enveloping us and making us gasp for breath.

Halloween is usually the time to experience a few innocent scares here and there, to witness some ghoulish decorations and to get lost in a silly and/or hide-behind-your-seat horror film. On that note, make sure to take care of yourselves tonight as far as cinematic scare fests go. Everyone is different, but consider giving disturbing and psychological fare a pass this year. Stick to old favorites, maybe a new horror adventure flick that you have been meaning to check out and maybe a remake or two to see how a story has changed. Do not forget - cheesy horror movies are not the solution, but they are an optimistic start.
