Based on Kane Parsons' wildly popular YouTube series, this movie seems to successfully transpose the unique series' eerie mystery to the silver screen. If you have not seen these shorts, get thee to YouTube right now and watch them - they are different from everything that you have seen before. The smart teaser does not reveal much, hinting instead at something... beyond, something intangible and possibly otherworldly. A24 continues its proud tradition of churning out true originals and this movie should be on your must-watch list, especially if you are a horror fan. The stellar cast is part of the excitement; I have not see Reinsve and Ejiofor in this genre before, so it will be interesting to see these brilliant actors in this piece. Duplass has a history of participating in quirky, clever fare such as Creep, The One I Love and "Room 104", while Bennett, Maxwell and Jogia represent new talent, whose careers have taken off and will be in the fast lane following May. The movie looks fresh and intriguing. I cannot wait to see what these rooms are hiding.
